Using a Lidar laser, an Arduino Uno and a Vibe Board we created a hat for the visually impaired. The Lidar Laser shoots out light lasers and measures the time for them to bounce back. The Uno then codes it into vibrations so the user can receive feedback on the distance of objects in their vicinity.
