In the past half century, threats to kelp forests have increased in number and severity, leading to a global decline of kelp abundances of ~ 2% per year.
To illustrate this degradation, we built an interactive kelp installation showcasing the degradation of biodiversity in Kelp due to climate change. The projection is mapped to a certain protein from the Giant Kelp species. The kelp is made from reused painter canvas and cotton ivy.
